Holy shit, is this year going by quickly or what? It's already October, which means it's basically Christmas.
The month of September was a pretty average one, to be honest. While we had a few nice and sunny days in what was technically the first month of Spring, we were doused with crappy weather and thunderstorms. Although, one positive about that is my hayfever symptoms being postponed, and still being able to use the state of outside to justify sitting on the couch all weekend.
Although, like the true and real blogger than I am (well, trying to be), I have kept in mind a few things this month that have made it quite bearable - dare I say, enjoyable. So, here they are - my September Favourites! Enjoy.
You can find some similar denim jackets here, and the enamel pins I brought from Kmart.

1. Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in "San-Fran-Disco"
This shade I have been seeing everywhere, but have never been game to try it. I've always loved orange-based red lipsticks, but they never seemed to suit me since most of my life I have been brunette. Now that I'm blonde, however, I dived straight in.
I love Australis' range of liquid lipsticks. They're really opaque, affordable (around $10AUD a pop), and cruelty free. The only problem I have with the formula of these liquid lipsticks is when you're reapplying them. They tend to get a little clumpy and crumbly, so it's best to use a sparse amount. Luckily they're so opaque that you don't really need much to begin with, so be careful.
You can get them here!
2. My Vintage Denim Jacket
This jacket has been my life. I bought this jacket for a store in Perth called "Cheep", which I usually don't shop at because most of their garments run at a size 6, 8, or 10 at biggest. However, they do stock a range of really cool vintage items that cater to a variety of sizes (albeit a small selection). This jacket I have been wearing non-stop; you might even recognise it from my last blog post.
I really like the boxy, masculine shape this jacket gives me, and it definitely adds to the 90s vibe I've been attempting lately.
3. Stranger Things on Netflix
This show has everything; a little bit of sci-fi, a little bit of horror, a little bit of teen drama, a little bit of romance, and a little bit of comedy, and it is absolutely incredible. I binged Stranger Things in its entirety on one sick weekend, and I just couldn't get away. The character 11 is such a bad ass, and the story line is so intriguing.
Funnily enough, there are some strange coincidences between me and this story. Firstly, the character Will goes missing on November 6, which is my birthday. Second, the character Mike has a sister called Holly - my brother's name is Michael. Well, only two, BUT STILL.
If you live under a rock and haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. For a little taste, watch the trailer below.
4. Palmer's Ultra Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil
Now, I'm not usually the kind of person who gives too much of a shit about skin care. I will buy the cheapest, not overly chemically, nice smelling cleansers and leave it at that. But this stuff, though, is just wonderful.
Firstly, it smells amazing, and it's not one of those smells you get sick of really easily. It goes on super smoothly and gentle, and gets all makeup off with absolute ease, even eye makeup. I don't enjoy, nor can be bothered, using a makeup wipe before using a cleanser to get rid of all of the grime, but I find I can skip that whole step with this cleanser.
One thing I do experience with other cleansers is this feeling of the skin being stripped of any oils, which then causes your skin to overcompensate and produce more oil. Even though I would consider my skin type to be dry, I do produce a lot of oils in my T-zone, so it's a great product for balancing that out, and it also leaves my face feeling nice and moisturised.
Palmer's is a great brand; they are cruelty free, super affordable, smell great, and are free of Parabens and Phthalate. You can purchase it here!
And that is it for the month of September! Thank you so much for reading. Hopefully soon we will start seeing more Spring weather. While typically I enjoy sitting inside in the warmth, listening to the rain on my windows, it's nice to get outside and bask in the sunshine before it gets ridiculously hot.
I will see you next week!
